Health and Wellbeing Grants The Shipley Health & Wellbeing grant scheme was delivered by HALE, in partnership with CNet, in 2010. It was designed to encourage healthy living activities within the Shipley constituency. The funding aimed to enable small groups to provide a service or activity which benefits the health and wellbeing of the local community. This could be anything from healthy cooking equipment to a belly dancing tutor! The grants were funded by the Shipley Area Committee, and voluntary groups in the Shipley constituency were invited to apply for grants of up to £1,000. The final round of applications closed at 12.00 noon on Friday 3rd December 2010. The organisations funded through this scheme were: Baildon Men's Health Group Crag Road Drop-In Centre, Shipley Redbeck Allotments Association Cullingworth Keep Fit Choices in Childbirth, Shipley The Peaselands Gentlemen's Club, Shipley St Ives (Bingley) Riding for the Disabled Wrose Bowling Club Upbeat Bradford North Heart Support Group Anchorage Bowlers, Shipley Shipley Providence Cricket Club Grange Park Patients Participation Group, Burley-in-Wharfedale |
