Networkers
HALE’s Networker programme is now well established and continues to reach a large number of isolated people within the Shipley area. Networkers will visit anyone of any age who is isolated, depressed or lacking in confidence and who would like to find out about places to visit or activities to take part in with the support of someone else.
Once you are referred to HALE a Networker will contact you, normally within a week, to arrange a home visit. The Networker will discuss and agree on a place or activity you would like to attend, then go along with you – often staying until it is time to go home.
The Networker will visit you from six to eight times, until you are confident enough to go on your own.
We have recently appointed a new Networker, Morteza, to join our ever expanding team. Morteza will be working with refugees and asylum seekers in the Bradford area who need the help of a Networker to get out and about in their community. This could be helping access local courses or groups, find appointment locations, or even working out which bus routes you need to take. This scheme is running citywide.
Both Networking schemes are FREE.
If you would like to know more or if you know someone who might benefit from either of our Networking schemes, please contact us.
