Allotment

HALE’s allotment groups have been running for over four years now, working with Shipley Primary School, High Crags Primary School and more recently Frizinghall Primary School, Heaton Royds School and People First.

Programmes of activity are planned as part of a school gardening club, promoting the potential of growing and tasting food, the importance of conservation – and just enjoying being outside. In addition to the school groups we run family activity days and have plans to promote growing food in small spaces.

We occasionally sell seeds and send out news and fact sheets about growing food.

HALE’s allotment is based at the Redbeck site, off Otley Road in Shipley.
