Bradford has one of the highest incidences in the UK of poor oral health amongst children aged 5 and under.

In collaboration with the NHS Oral Health promotion team HALE delivers Teethtastic courses on oral health and healthy snacks to parents/carers and young children.

Our Community Health Improvement Team also train people who work with young children on good oral health practices, and on how to deliver a Teethtastic course themselves.

We also raise awareness of the importance of good oral hygiene at community events, giving advice on brushing teeth, finding a dentist, and making healthy snack choices to children and their parents/carers using an informal approach.
