Networkers

HALE’s Networker programme is well established and continues to reach a large number of isolated people within the Shipley area.

Networkers will visit anyone of any age who is isolated, depressed or lacking in confidence and who would like to find out about places to visit or activities to take part in with the support of someone else.

Once you are referred to HALE a Networker will contact you, normally within a week, to arrange a home visit. The Networker will discuss and agree on a place or activity you would like to attend, then go along with you – often staying until it is time to go home.

The Networker will visit you up to eight times, until you are confident enough to go on your own.

We accept referrals to the Networker scheme from family, friends and self referrals as well as from GPs, Health visitors, Community Mental Health Teams and other professional agencies.

The Networker scheme is FREE.
